Support Youth Sports

I support youth and young adult organized sports.  I grew up with sports (soccer/baseball/cross country/badminton) and, later in life, have seen first hand that youth sports build better adults and that the maxim "Idle hands are the Devil's playground" is as true as it has even been.

Poway should continue to be a destination city for quality organized sports, from soccer to swimming to softball to tennis.  

Poway has a plethora of parks and sports fields but we should always be on the lookout for ways to make use of them more efficiently.  Be that through scheduling or extending their hours of use.  With the new state mandates for High School start time pushing dismissals into the late afternoon, demand for later afternoon organized sports activities will only increase.  

I will continue to fund, and upgrade where needed, our parks and recreation areas to maximize their utility to help you to enable your kids to be the best they can be.
